- Those who can't remember mythology are doomed to repeat it.
Mythology has gotten a bum rap in the modern age because of its outlandish and unbelievable imagery. But what appears to be its greatest weakness is actually its greatest strength. Before the existence of books the only way to make sure something was remembered was to make use of memory aids. The simplest way to make something memorable was to make it outlandish. See Method of loci.
Even numbers can be made memorable by associating each number with an element or an object. For example the 1st day becomes the day of air.
